Dermaplaning is the physical exfoliation/scraping of keratinised cells on the outer stratum corneum and fine vellus hair. It uses a sterile surgical blade held at a 45 degree angle to exfoliate your skin and get rid of dirt and “peach fuzz.” Your hair will not grow back darker. Dermaplaning is suitable for all skin types and results are instant. This is a great treatment if you're pregnant or nursing and want exfoliation without the chemicals of a peel. Treatments are recommended every 4 to 6 weeks.

SALON TREATMENT

Your treatment begins with a double cleanse and skin analysis. Skin is prepped and blading begins, followed by an enzyme gommage that polishes the skin. Traditional mask in the form of cream, gel or clay is applied, then finished with an appropriate serum, moisturiser and uv protect. 

Treatment can be upgraded to include advanced mask (sheet/rubber/hydro jelly) and Light Therapy.

ONE WEEK PRIOR TREATMENT GUIDE

- Avoid direct sun exposure and wear UV protection daily.
- Avoid Vitamin A/Retinol and Vitamin C, BHA’s, AHA’s, exfoliants and topical antibiotics. 
- No facial waxing.
- Use gentle cleanser, hydrating serum, moisturiser morning and night.
   
ONE WEEK POST TREATMENT GUIDE


- Avoid direct sun exposure and wear UV protection daily.
- Use gentle cleanser, hydrating serum, and moisturiser morning and night. 
- Your skin may feel tight and dry. Apply a hydrating serum or mist as often a required. 
- Dermaplaning can sometimes create scraping, nicking and/or abrading of the skin.
- Avoid makeup for 24 hours.
- Avoid excess heat (hot showers, heated pools, saunas etc) and do not exercise for 24 hours.
- Avoid Chlorinated water.
- Any facial waxing can be done 7 days after treatment.
- Exfoliation ingredients can begin 7 days post treatment.
